Quick Nendrapazham Payasam/Pradhaman (Plantain Kheer)

A long time since I posted a sweet recipe. This recipe is a quick, easier twist to the traditional pradhaman (kerala-style kheer). 

Traditionally, pradhamans are made with coconut milk – 3 extracts of coconut milk  are taken and added at different stages. At our native place in Palakkad, its made in a heavy-bottomed bronze vessel called an urli.

I don’t have the urli nor the mixer to extract coconut milk of different concentration. So, mine is a shortcut pradhaman. The taste though not exactly like the traditional one is surely quite close. Click here for the recipe.
